I just love seeing all these April beauties! This one was a surprise early opener that I didn't notice until late afternoon - my first bloom of the season.

It's a toothy intro, but not much toothiness showing this early. But it was still thrilling to see a daylily bloom here with all our up-and-down weather we've been having so far this spring.

How disappointing, Alma!

So many lovely blooms. I especially like the look of Butterscotch Ruffles and Misty Mountains Cold.

Finally heavy thunderstorms were predicted, so I got out early and took photos, and did what few garden chores I had, brought in the mower and all the tools. Then I went inside to download and label all the photos. Wow, 2/10ths of an inch of rain, what a downpour that was. So disappointed.
