I really want Darth Cidious. Our local daylily place, Nonni's is having a sale in early June. If she has Darth Cidious, I'm going to get it.

Thanks to all for the thumbs for LVT, that is probably the peak bloom, for the weather has really played havoc with bloom times. Donna, many thanks for the acorn. With not much sun, flowers are not opening easily, so this might have been a really lucky shot. Darth Cidous is very striking, but all those clump shots were so nice to see--keep 'em coming, folks!

Beautiful, Avedon! Destined to See had several polys on it one year for me and it was such a pretty sight to see. That is a shame that the deer bother your daylilies.

Imperial Lemon--my favorite yellow. It has been here for 20 years--and never failed to perform. No matter the weather, this one always come through. This is the row of three plants, total flowers 31. Second photo is the plant with the most flowers showing.

Thanks, Nan. A little history about the purchasing of Imperial Lemon. It was a catalogue buy from Roots And Rhizomes all those years ago, when I had no computer and didn't know anything much about daylilies, except for the fact at that time I thought they were yellow or orange. The catalogue pictures showed me there were daylilies in many different colors, and yet I bought yellow, possibly because there were three for $24, a good deal in my mind. Believe me, one of the best daylily bargains one could have.

I have 6 seedlings from this cross that I've kept around because of how early they start for me. I can't say I remember if it does this all the time, but this year, this guy sent up a bunch of scapes a little bit above the foliage, and another set well above the foliage. So it has been blooming over two weeks on the lower scapes, and seems like it might bloom just as long from the taller scapes. Pretty cool.

Nan, your Banned in Boston looks better than mine ever did. It struggled for years here and I eventually got rid of it. I love those blooms, though!
