Hello I purchased a viburnum cassinoides a few years ago and it has never produced fruit. I suspect this is because i didn't buy a second plant to pollinate it. Please tell me which other viburnum would make a suitable pollinator for Viburnum cassinoides. Thank You.
Name: John Scott County, KY (Zone 5b) You can't have too many viburnums..
Hi flickeringpa:
Your best bet for proper cross-pollination would be to procure another Viburnum cassinoides - preferably from the same vendor where you got your first one.
As long as they are not IDENTICAL clones - and they overlap in bloom time - you should have fruit forming on both plants after the first time they bloom together.
