Isn't it amazing how gophers rush to gobble up every trace of Dr. Huey when it's used as rootstock and leave it alone when it doesn't have a scion attached?

Do roses ever do a partial revert to the root stock? This rose I have is putting out two different shaped flowers. It is like split down the middle of it.

It sounds as if the rootsrock is making a takeover bid.

OUTSTANDING Puckfair and Elena. Im also making a few bouquets, but it's always hard to choose between leaving them on the bush or cutting. Mme Anisette was first out of the gate here and at my frien's in NKY it was Victorian Memory. Everything put on huge growth this year. I think it's third year leap for many more recent additions.
Happy Mother's Day everyone!

My roses are absolutely loving the soil here compared to the old house. I never could figure out why plants struggled out there but here they're happy as clams and some are putting on some size. South Africa is really looking good and if it's cloudy when I go back out I'll see if I can get a good shot of it.

Parfume Factory-thought I lost this one and dug it up like 3 times to check for shoots and finally this past week it broke ground. Took long enough. Rolling my eyes.

Unknowns that overwintered in their pots. Buried the pots in the ground.

Still have a couple more but they're buried and trying to figure out which thumbnail is what can be a pain. Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!

Vaporvac, sorry about your roses!
Some of my roses surprised me how they hold the rain.

Wow! LOVE how you trained New Dawn. I have quite a few and they are beautiful monsters in the right situation.
