Oh, Elena, that is simply gorgeous! I can barely imagine the amount of planning and labor that went into it. I envy your energy and creativity.

Thank you Porkpal! We made this final version with a few iterations over the years by shrinking garden beds and lawn. We were started from here 5 years ago. Smiling

Good job! You should be proud!
Mine was started 13 years ago and it had some decomposed granite pathways and foundation plants, we ended up removing most of the plants. I brought over 600 plants with me and of course added (and subtracted) many more. I recorded the progress on my blog in my profile, just need to go back to the oldest page to get to the beginning.
And now it's almost too big to keep up with it. Blinking Big Grin

Very nice Colette! Thumbs up I have also planted this rose a month ago. It's a good idea with the Blog! Wow, you brought 600 plants with you!
We started from scratch and adding/removing based on changes in my passion. A few iterations before all perimeter was tomatoes. nodding

Very nice @Elena999. You accomplished a lot in only five years. Must be a real pleasure looking out at that garden.

Please let me know if I overwhelm you with my pictures , but so excited about this phase of the garden before any trouble starts. Smiling
This is New Dawn , please confirm that if I deadheaded this rose I got a chance for next flash? To reach the flowers will be a challenge.

I don't think any other flower is quote as beautiful as roses in the rain. Thank you for sharing! I'm looking forward to a rainy spell this weekend.

That Peach Swirl rose is to die for!

Elena, go ahead and try to overwhelm us with photos. That's a challenge.

I have always wondered how completely one needs to deadhead a rose to encourage rebloom. My New dawn is not nearly as prosperous as yours, and I don't deadhead her very faithfully, but she does rebloom to some degree through the summer and better in the fall.

I hope someone has a better answer for you.

Yes to deadheading. To reach them try an extendable lopper or shears. You don't have to be exact. I usually wait til the flush is finished. Ours are blooming at the same time!

Deadheading my New Dawn back when I grew it definitely helped with re-bloom. Some really appreciate it... for example, my Compassion re-blooms very well with deadheading, only sporadically without it. Compassion sets fabulous hips, so that might be the reason. My big old Eden doesn't care if I deadhead it... it re-blooms well anyway!
