I went into my database submitted images and used that cool feature that Dave added to narrow down the photos to just euphorbias and it's a Euphorbia (Euphorbia x martini)

... am i the only one who thinks that plant is freaky kewl? Its got *horns* for jeez sakes .... thorny _Red_ horns! I've never seen anything like it, and with a great big grin on my face, I thank you for introducing us all to a really amazing ... um ... plant!

Nope, soft, more like a leaf.

Many of the euphorbia blooms are 'freaky kewl'! Taking macro shots of them really lets you see the details.

Its so wondrous to follow such a tiny flower into the nature of our world in such deeper, greater and finer detail... I just took a web/ATP side trip to learn more about these fascinating plants. Thanks!
