I stopped buying daylilies when I moved 2 years ago, mostly because I have so many plants still to get in the ground, (which was delayed due to daughters 2 large dogs living here until recently), and because I am now on a retired fixed income so I love trading and finding lovely gardeners that just need new homes for their plants. I recently sent off 3 package for postage and I was so happy to share them rather than toss them.

I feel the same way, Sue. If there is nothing wrong with the plant, I just hate to throw it on the compost pile! I have only done that with 2 of them that were so puny or diseased that I would never have given them to anyone. I'll tree-mail you this evening. I have to get ready for work TGIF!!! now.

As we were discussing Mask of Darkness, she told me about some others she has to spare, so I'm getting a collection from her instead of just the one. Go, Lisa!

She only had one fan of Purple Many Faces, so she added Eggplant Electricity, and she's sending three bonus plants that are late bloomers for her (I'm trying to add later-blooming plants to my mix).

Before I moved I was trying to find homes for a bunch of my babies and it was Great that I was able to rehome them
to my friends here. So they are still in the family

I really should downsize but just the thought of it is too much work. I haven't bought a new daylily in years myself but that is because all my daylily beds are full.
