Oooooooo purdy J! I hope your eyes are recovering properly.

J: Love the Goldfinch photo's! We don't see those too often down here and they are so pretty!
Hope your eyes are recovering. I go next week for a laser procedure on my left eye (the right one was done a few weeks ago) to enlarge some channel or something that brings fluid around the eye; apparently I have very narrow channels (or whatever it is they call them) which causes pressure build up and a possible attack of acute angle glaucoma if the fluid isn't moving properly. I swear my vision is not the same as before I had the right eye done ... sure hope the left one doesn't make things worse.

Lin, I hope your eye yet clears up & the next procedure goes well.

They sure love those sunflowers! I love the colors of the goldfinch.

Carolina Wren...and I think the other is a Lesser Goldfinch in a precarious perch waiting for a turn at the feeder.

Great shots Linda! I've seen a few Carolina Wrens around lately ... would love to see a Goldfinch, they are so gorgeous! Here's a few I took yesterday and this morning:
Mourning Dove:
Red-bellied Woodpecker, male:
Downy Woodpecker, female; taking her turn at the suet feeder:
Northern Mockingbird and .......................... Blue Jay:

Love those pics, Lin! Especially those cute woodpeckers! I went down the driveway this morning to get the paper...and lucky for me there was a Ladder-back Woodpecker next to the road across the street. At first, it was in a Texas Persimmon tree, maybe eating some fruit. Then, by the time I got back with my camera, it was pecking on a dead tree.
