A shame you didn't get to see those beauties bloom this year. Fancy Brass and Chasing Rainbows are gorgeous!

I haven't even gotten a good start at all that didn't bloom this year, but maybe as time permits and if find pictures of them all I'll post more. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of interest in this topic though, so maybe it's not worth all the effort. I went to a day lilly sale yesterday and got 10 new ones. I haven't been updating them much in the past few years, so thought I'd get a few new ones.

I've been enjoying this thread. I like looking at pictures and seeing some that I haven't seen recently like Rancho Rose which was very popular here..

My Chasing Rainbows bloomed -- in both locations. I moved some rhizomes last year because there's a small tree growing in the middle of my clump. Now that the new ones are established, I'll dig up the rest of the old ones and tackle the tree. CR has proven to be very hardy for me.

Speaking of daylilies -- when I placed a small order from Gilbert Wild for a few Irises, as a bonus they sent a daylily. Confused I'm sure it's a very nice daylily, but I've never heard of an Iris merchant bonusing with another genre of plant..............

I wasn't thrilled.

Yes Rancho Rose was used a lot in crosses that made many of the newer irises I've noticed. Here's a few more I didn't see.

Lovely pictures of pretty iris. It was fun to see the picture of Michigan Pride which made quite a splash here.

Tom, this is a great idea for a thread!

I could fill volumes with ones that did not bloom over the years.

I sure hope we have better bloom next spring, but it's not looking good here! Just too dry and hot to get the increases going. I've keep things watered, but well water ain't rain! MaryAnn, you called Wild's an iris merchant, but I think of them as a daylily supplier, that sells a few iris. Someday when you have some time to kill( I know, I know, THAT ain't likely to happen!)Read the" About us", on the Wild's website. They got their start with peony plants....Arlyn

Black ?Suited bloomed without increase this year. Will watch sale from the west coast. Perhaps we had too much rain?

Love *Mandarin Morning*, Tom!! Lovey dubby

Paul -- it was *Masai Warrior* -- couldn't find it anywhere else. The bad news is that the rhizome doesn't look too happy. It's been swimming since it got here. Sad

Mary Ann.....This may sound silly but have you considered putting an inverted bucket over the rhizome while it is raining and removing it when the sun is shining? Iris fanatics go to great lengths.

Problem -- there's thirty or forty Irises out there that have been planted this year, alongside the garage -- can't cover them all, or repot. Have to take my chances. Shrug!

This is intended to be a temporary bed for Irises that will go into Iris Lane when I get that area under control again, and the being-resurrected-as-we-speak bed along the riding arena fence. With all the rain that we've had this year -- and are still getting -- the weeds have just gone wild. It's a jungle out there! I'm battling it as best I can, and trying to at least keep the weeds out of the rhizomes so that when the sun does shine, it can actually get to the rhizomes. This is just a very difficult year. Sad

I'm afraid to move Masai Warrior at this point, in case it has already put down some roots. It's been in the ground for a couple of weeks now. Irises planted earlier are putting up their finger-leaves, so I just don't know what's going to happen.

It just really needs to stop raining!!!!!

I've told you this already, just send the extra rain north! I'm so dry here, it's not funny anymore. 17 days since any measurable precipitation, and then it wasn't much! I suppose about all you can do is watch them close for signs of rot, and try to keep them from being covered any deeper from erosion. Wish I could give you a better answer!...Arlyn
