How do I remove a star? I starred some plants and I now know how to use my lists to define my favorites. I looked all over the page for where the star might appear but could not find it. See my sempervivum Baby star .. starred photo. and several others. I would like to be sure they are in my list before I delete them.

Thanks, I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you.

I went back to the source of the starred item and clicked the star to cancel it.
Kind of a round about way, but it worked.
Wonder if Dave could give us that tool on our Starred Page?

Very nice! Particularly when you've just starred an individual post for a little nugget of information that may not be immediately obvious. Thumbs up Cool addition! Thanks, Dave!

Ok, so maybe I cannot remover those entries. I will just wait and see what happens on this post if others have the same problem. Perhaps a solution is out there to be found.

I closed my browser and rebooted my hard drive and it still takes me to the database and not the post.

I'm going away now. Whistling

Marilyn, when you are in the database looking at the photo, enlarged, you will see at the top of the page just under the plant name, the star. It should be gold if you had clicked it before. Just click it again and it will remove it from your starred list. Smiling

OK, I just could not stay away... but I must get busy on some other tasks, company coming......

It is a wonderful feature, even though I am having a tad bit of problem understanding just how it works.

I clicked on my entry in my starred list and then I have clicked and enlarged every one of the pictures of the Baby Star including the one shown at the top and there is not a star to be found on any one of them.

Try looking over at the right hand side of your screen above the advertising.

If you're in the database, the star is where Lynn said.

Marilyn, this is your starred list: http://garden.org/apps/stars/u...
I clicked on the first one. "the idea "What To Do When Your Hardy Succulent Plant Plugs Arrive"" and at the top right side is the star, the acorn and the thumbs up symbols. Click the highlighted star to uncheck it.

@Vic, Lynn and Sue,

I guess I am blind, I did not see that before but it does work and I will continue to clean up the stuff.

Thanks all for your patience with this half blind (and hearing impaired and mind with limits) old lady. Hilarious!

@dave, looking at my starred list, there are quite a few that simply say "a miscellaneous contribution" which have no link that I can go to, therefore they are useless & I would like to be able to delete them from my list as they just muck up the list. Can you program into the system that ones like that are auto deleted from our lists? I wonder what those were? I suspect they may have been starred posts from something like the daylily chat thread where I starred a recipe someone posted or someone talked about a particular plant they have or some such as that..... which brings me to my next question.... Would it be possible for the system to retain only those starred posts even when the thread is deleted?
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
