Rob -- you really only have four months or so to prepare next year's shopping list. Most of the Iris houses open their doors for business in January -- and many Irises are sold out very quickly. So if there varieties that you specifically want, you'll need to get your order in early!!

Look at your list & visualize a color scheme for your garden. That is unless you just want the plants which you like☺. However height of the stem & complementary colors mean a lot.

I used to do a lot of color scheme planning, but finally realized that you really have to see the plant in bloom first to know what is blooming at the same time. My ideal is to grow everything together at first, then when it needs to be divided move it to a more planned bed. Well, that is my ideal...But actually I am slowly finding irises that go with my red orange poppies and bloom at the same time. Superstition is one of them.

S. ivory white; style arms white; F. ivory white, purple lines and dotting halfway down; beards yellow, tipped purple, sometimes with thin purple and white horn; slight sweet fragrance. 80-130: (sdlg. x 'Dresden Gold') X 'Abu Zabad theres nothing not to loike about this iris the pedigree says it all for me
