I'm seeing sprouts in my knocked down pocket gopher mound experiment & they don't look like they're all the normal stuff that's here. I'm sure at least *some* of it is the wildflower seeds I sprinkled. Drat! Tonight is supposed to be patchy frost. Hope it patches NOT on my new seedlings!!!!!

It was 20 here last night. Low humidity so no frost. The power did go out down the street and affected us for a couple of hours. Thankfully, not any longer than that!! Still nothing blooming out there yet. *Sigh!*
Dandelions are starting to bloom here. Hang on, springs a-coming!

Expecting 6-10 inches of new snow for the weekend.
at least it was warmer than predicted last night only 2 not below zero ... and sunny today.
filling all my bird feeders before the snow .
Even for us, as mild as it may seem but quite unseasonable here. We got a full frost, bird baths froze. I haven't gone put & checked the sprouts yet. I'm avoiding it, afraid of what I will find.

Name: Kelli Canoga Park, CA, Sunset 19 (Zone 10a) Where summer is winter
We got 2 inches of rain over the past 24 hours. That should increase our wildflower prospects a little. With the drought, it was looking like we'd get nothing. Two inches doesn't end the drought but it should be helpful.
