I t was suppose to be bad weather here Saturday and Sunday but it was changed to sun and monday, but last night the news said 37 for little rock and we're a few degrees cooler than little rock, We had 50 degrees this morning! I'd have to say he was way off base LOL

He wasn't off base for my house, Kathy Ann. Unless my thermometer is broken, it was 39 on my back porch this morning and it has stayed at 39 all day with a light rain. Yucky weather! In Harrison, AR where my daughter lives, they got 6 inches of snow today.)That's in NW Arkansas just south of the Missouri/Arkansas border.

The closest I'll get to growing lupines i guess LOL they don't seem to do well here, but this is thermopsis golden bean and it's quite stunning in the garden,

I thought sure those yellow flowers were lupines. I never see lupines growing here in my area. Those are very pretty. Your foxglove is spectacular. I have 2 plants of 'Pam's Choice' but they are not as big and open as yours. Do they need lots of sun. Mine probably need to be moved.
Your pictures are fun to look at the barn reminds me of the barn my Dad built on our home place. Ours was plainer though with no window in the loft to put in the hay. Now i go by and it is beginning to fall down. Things change.
Keep sending us pictures. I love watching other gardens grow.

Thank you Linda and VEronica.

That barn is about l0 years old. I hope I never have to watch it fall down ;0)

I love that thermopsis, it's beautiful. THe foxgloves did especially good this year, I have this one in full sun, but all the others are in shade.

This is the strawberry foxglove, Pam's choice is also in the shade, and is fallen over now from the 2 days of rain, we have to go out tomorrow and tie up a few things that have fallen in the storm.

my cloth of gold yarrow is about 4 foot tall and fell in the center, we'll have to tie it up also tomorrow.

Another pic with the barn in it. Believe it or not this whole area use to be a round horse pen when we first moved here. then we built the greenhouse on it which burnt down a couple years ago and now I just have this HUGE square flower garden there LOL it's quite stunning though when things are blooming. Lots of work though

Yes a large flower garden is lots of work...Right now I am thinking that I need to cut down but don't think I can do it. I may have to consider getting someone to help us with some of the work....
Your foxgloves are definitely gorgeous.....
