This is the area where the greenhouse use to sit before the fire got it. It's now a big cottage garden area, and I hope to see lots of new babies this year. From seed dropping

Last picture, a Vew of the cottage garden from the top of the barn loft.

The greenhouse was right in the center of it. I hope that whole area is filled to the brim this year, no room for weeds lOL

I have had the privilege of visiting Kathy Ann's gardens in person on more than one occasion as she lives only 40 miles from me. Smiling Smiling She has been very generous with sharing her plants with the rest of us Mid-South gardeners at our various round-ups!! A good many of the plants in my own garden have come from Kathy Ann! You're the best, Kathy Ann!!

Thanks so much for this tour Kathy. I can't believe I didn't check in sooner and find it. Love the look of your wooded property. The gardens are sure to fill up this summer so keep the pictures coming. I really liked your begonia container, I had never thought of putting more than one kind in a pot. Need that for a reminder although I don't have much success with begonias. You have a couple of plants not familiar to me the Jerusalem sage and the malibar spinach. Is the spinach edible? Do you get a lot of berries on the porcelain berry vine? I never see a lot at once but must have plenty as last year it reseeded lots of babies. Wonder what will be there for all of us when it really warms up.
Again thanks this is my favorite forum cause I love Lovey dubby garden tours.

I love that jeruselum sage. I hope it reseeds this year, it takes 3 years to bloom from a young plant.

the malibar spinach is edible but I don't like the taste of it.

I get tons of berries off my porcelain berrry vines, and lots of babies to pull up every year. LOL I grow them for the birds to eat.

thank you for the compliments on my gardens, I am limited on container space in the winter time now that my green house has burnt down (last year) so I grew a bunch of begonias in one pot last year, turned out really nice.

I'm really sorry about your greenhouse. I would love to have one but guess I have waited too long. I should have started gardening when I was younger; I think I could have made this farm into a business. Probably would have worked my butt off though...... I think that is what happens to my porcelain berries the birds eat them. Actually I think I pulled up some pb starts today as I was weeding around it and had several things with a pretty good root on them.
Lots of cleanup going on here. I am almost done with the first big clean up and then from now until plant out time I will just keep tidying up.
I love spring Lovey dubby

Kathy Ann, your stacked pot arrangements are wonderful! Torch lilies are sure pretty too. Wish they grew better here. Looks like your clematis are very happy. The arbor will be stunning when it is covered with vines. It's so much fun to tour everyone's gardens. Thanks for inviting us.

Kathy_Ann, FABULOUS!!! Thanks for sharing! I, too, have birdhouses high on posts... but as part of our fence rather than as part of an arbor. I love the look of them with your arbor. You've got some really imaginative spaces around your property. I can't wait to see the update photos when spring is in full gear! =)

Are y'all getting that "winter mix" again tonight? We're getting cold weather again, but the snow/sleet combo is supposed to stop north of us this time (thank goodness!).

Well, now I feel very dumb. I just got all of my babies prepared for a cold night. After reading your reply, I checked our local station's weather forecast and realized we won't get the cold until tomorrow night and Monday night. Sooo, I tucked them all in a night too early! =P

I wish I could remember now which forecaster said on Friday that the cold would come on Saturday night... because they were RIGHT! It got to the low 30's last night and is still just 38 right now. I'm so glad I went through the steps for protection yesterday. Though the plants aren't affected by windchill, I sure am... and with windchill, we're back to "feels like" 29! Blah. How is it where you are, KathyAnn?
