It was felt colder yesterday than I thought it would be, it started out okay but by mid afternoon when we started the lights it was cloudy, windy and cold
Today looks to be a bit better 50 with more sun.
Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
Only 44 now and with 48 as the expected high, it isn't tempting to try and do anything outside. Yesterday I did spot my rose garden tomatoes (one red) with green leaves, not harmed by frost. That garden is protected from the harsh northwest winds.
The only thing green in my garden is fennel! Cloudy, chilly, windy yesterday & today. Last night our town celebrated Light Up The Town......every building now glows with white lights....parade, floats, Ferris wheel....big doings for a small town!
All my tomato plants are pulled out. Some of the peppers pulled but all the plants are dead. I have everything heavily mulched already with the Fall leaves except for all the beds in the top garden. None of them are done yet and I already used up all the leaves of the truckload that my landscape guy dumped here for mulching.
So tomorrow I will have to go load up some bagged leaves to bring home. Will need many bags still as I have to do those gardens still. Not anywhere near as much as already done but still not finished for the winter.
I don't like winter as I hate the cold and especially hate the snow. But I do like having a short break from the garden. But I miss being outside in nice weather. Yes, still go outside in colder weather but I don't enjoy that much either. I just am a summer person.
