Restraint, Rita! Good for you.

Not much known for restraint and moderation.

I never have any luck with mums, so they're easy for me to pass by! And the mention of apples reminds me that I still need to do something with all those plums off our tree! Sigh, but I'm SO tired of dealing with fruit. We have a friend who sells fruits at the local farmer's market and he is always giving us more than we need!

I really felt like having some apples! Mum look great when you buy them but never look as good years after. Too much work to keep pinching them.

I've never been able to keep them alive here. Managed to propagate a few from cuttings, but it was more work than it was worth!

Just a beautiful warm and pleasant day today. I have all my windows open like I do in the summertime. Not doing any garden work today though because I am cleaning my house. Yuck, hate housework but I neglected the inside all summer so it needs the cleaning badly. And when the weather turns cool again and windows need to be shut, I can't stand the thought of being shut inside with a dirty house. So house cleaning it is.

I have next Saturday planned for that, Rita, but only if it rains.

One day only of house cleaning would not do much around here. I have really neglected it all gardening season and it shows. At least after I cleaned up and put away the various accumulated clutter, I could start on the cleaning. There used to be so much clutter that I really couldn't get to the cleaning.

Right. You gotta clean before you can "clean!" I know it well!

I hate clutter. But I am really bad at constantly putting things away where they belong. So clutter starts to pile up. During gardening season, from early spring on, I would much rather be working out in the garden. I tend not to look at the inside of the house to carefully! But then it gets to a point where I can't stand it and I get it all straightened out and cleaned up.

My grass cutting guys came and cut my grass today. It really needed it. But point I was gonna make is the boss commented on the fact that I have lots of tomatoes still producing. He said my tomatoes started producing much earlier than his and now his are long done and mine are still going. Really was a great year for tomatoes in my garden.

Well, the cold snap we had last night pretty much put paid to all my vines and veggies. So it's time to start ripping stuff out and doing some outdoor cleanup (sorry, House! )

Oh that is too bad about the cold and killing your vines. And REALLY a shame you will have to put off doing housework.

Oh, yeah, having to put off housecleaning is terrible!

House cleaning again today. Yeck. House cleaning again tomorrow and the next day and the next. At least I am making progress.

I have new kitchen curtains. I am thinking that I will re purpose a pair of the old kitchen curtains and use them for the bathroom window. The old curtains are white so they go with most any color. But I have to wash kitchen windows before putting up new curtains and then wash those old curtains before I can do anything about the bathroom window. The curtain on there now is shot. Going to have to trash it.

Geez, it is so warm today. Tee shirt weather but very breezy. I have lots of windows open. Rained some and stopped again.

Still going on with my cleaning house marathon. That decluttering I did and putting stuff away was all over the house and in all the rooms. So no clutter means at last I can clean and I have been cleaning in the kitchen and bathroom ever since. Goes to show you how bad it was that working for days on two rooms and still not done!

My new curtains that I bought for the kitchen and bathroom look really pretty. Have the pair up in the bathroom, still need to put up those kitchen ones. Windows need to be washed before I put up new curtains and I have not gotten to that. All my kitchen cabinets need scrubbing. Yeck on that job as I already amused myself washing the bathroom walls. Told you all my house was really a mess this time.

And my livingroom will be last on the cleaning as my bulbs to plant have started to arrive. Once they are all here I need to plant them all, that means the living room is stacked full of piles of bulbs that I sort so I know which garden bed they go in. it also means I spend my time outside planting and certainly too tired to clean house when I come back inside.
