Maybe. I do know for sure that they are very different from each other. Both are in 4" pots growing right next to each other in the same soil mix, same light, etc.... I purposely waited to plant anywhere else just so that I may compare.

I checked mine today. It is mostly green, lost most of the "fur" and the tufts. It now looks like a very different plant from the pic I posted above, but has remained small. Mine are just over an inch.

With Sandi's very high altitude it could bring that change on much earlier than our would?

Let's keep this thread going Cliff. Once we have photos for winter and spring we should be able to tell if it is correct or not.
I really look forward to seeing how it develops.

Here's a couple of pics of mine from about 2 weeks ago. Not the best pics, I'll try again.

Here is my Niphetos this morning. It is going to look a little different in coloration and form. It has been in a shallow tray under the roof of our deck.
I think it is time to put it out in one of the beds.

Erwin Geiger.
But we do have to remember that some of these can be affected in appearance, depending on growing conditions, within certain limits.

This is my first year with this one, so I look forward to observing the changes in the different seasons.
We all need to keep taking photos for comparison before coming to a decision.

Ursuline does not look correct. Here is what it should look like. It has fairly heavy cilia lining the leaf edges, and a different form.

Still unclear on the S. 'Niphetos'. Lets see what it looks like this coming spring. Smiling

Nice photos Cliff. Where did you get your Niphetos from?
Your Ursuline is lovely, even in her winter attire.
