I haven't been able to get a pic in Jan so far, mine are under a couple inches of FROZEN snow for a couple weeks now. it wasn't too bad today and the sun was out. hope it goes away soon tho.
It won't be long Cliff, before you will see the unfrozen ground again. You have been getting some really cold weather this winter. I see some of the South will be getting a warm-up in a few days.
had a rough spell but getting back to business, took this last weekend the 20th of Apr
starting to get fuzzy and i took off 12 chicks and have them rooting out now, took them from the top layers.

Cliff, keep us updated on the changes. Hopefully it will continue in the direction of Niphetos characteristics. I can already see green coming on in your above photo.
took these this morning, just before it started to rain and i didn't want to get wet. been battling a cold & allergy thing for almost a month now
i still have a layer to go til i get to 1 layer. its planted in a hospital p pan and this will be 2nd year from a start w/1 chick attached so it is a heavy producer so far, largest is about 2" but they are crowded up a lot. should get a bit larger. going to put 1 in a pot and keep the chicks cut off from that 1. see how big it will get.

That last photo is looking more promising Cliff.
I am sorry to hear that you have been sick. Have you been to the doctor? That's a long time to be sick.
Sorry, it's the mother hen in me to worry.
