I'm definitely going to try a few of the Plankets for my containers this winter; if they work well I can finally do away with all the old blankets and sheets which I will launder and donate to the local humane society!

I'll be interested in seeing how they perform over the winter! Good video! Pomegranites need protection in winter? No wonder I haven't gotten fruit! I didn't know. It's big, probably couldn't really cover it...it was supposed to be dwarf pomegranite seeds I planted years ago. Okay, I noticed you go around barefoot sometimes. Maybe I should MMOB, but just one word...hookworms. Sorry, couldn't help myself!

I grabbed my helper before she could get shoes on, but normally we do require the children to wear shoes (snakes, spiders, and tetanus being the main reason). Me? Well...my Southern roots run very deep

LOL, I guess my southern roots run deep too because at 65 years (young) I've been barefoot the majority of my life. My feet are pretty tough and I guess I should consider myself very lucky cause I've never had a problem with hookworms, spider bites, snakes etc. When I was @ 12 years old I did cut my foot badly which required 14 or so stitches. I was jumping on a friends pogo stick barefoot and the rubber foot pegs had worn off to the bare metal.

When I was little, I ran around without shoes a lot. Poor family, good shoes cost money, so I only wore my cheapie shoes occasionally (church and school, mostly). But I had all KINDS of problems because of going barefoot. I made sure my own daughter had nice shoes and wore them a lot. Oh, Lin...OUCH! I cut my feet also from time to time, but never that bad!

Yeah, you'd think I would have learned my lesson about wearing shoes but they are just soooo confining. A couple of months ago I jammed a piece of wood chip mulch in my foot but all was okay ... lucky I guess. I seem to get attacked by thorny shrubs and stuff all the time when I'm working outside but if I get a cut that is more than just a scratch I immediately wash it with warm soapy water and get out the neosporin and band aids (which are always in abundant supply here!)
