FFO means First Flower Open. It could refer to the FFO of your entire garden... or the FFO for each plant. So, my FFO for my garden would be Penny's Worth, sometime back in May. But, the FFO on the plant Palace Of Lights might not be till end of July because it is a late.
Poly stands for polytepal and is when the flower has four or more petals and four or more sepals. I am not a fan of poly's... my art training tells me that things look better in odd numbers. A daylily usually has three petals and three sepals.
The petals are the three that are sort of in front and are usually wider.

The sepals are the ones in back, and are normally smaller, less ruffled, etc.

Sorry, I can't show you a poly photo... If I do have a plant that blooms poly, I don't take a photo.
There have been people who like the look when they have to many petals, and they have bred daylilies together that have that trait and stabilized it and so there is a registration form for poly's like there is for doubles, spiders. One I know of is called "Give Me Eight" -- here is a link to a photo of it.

Sometimes there is something that happens called Fusing. It is when for some reason, two buds develop and grow together, sort of like Siamese Twins. They look really odd. One time, I had a flower on Ruby Spider that had something like 11 petals and 10 sepals. Sometimes scapes will fuse together also... they are usually more flat than round.
