This is a Dottie Warrell seedling that I just love. It doesn't have a very high bud count or a whole lot of scapes, but the blooms are worth keeping it to me!

One of RAM's last 2 blooms. I'm always sad when they are done for the year.

I am going on a girls' daylily outing tomorrow!!! My cousin and her mother-in-law are going with me. We are going to see the Ohio hybridizers' beds at Franklin Park in Columbus, then we're going to Jamie Gossard's place to wade through the seedling fields. I'll take pics to share.

Susan, I will trade you some CHASING THE SUN for some INDIAN SKY!!! I can't believe INDIAN SKY is from 1963. I only have one older than that - COPPERSMITH from 1955.

Lisa, I liked Tontos Expanding Headband so much, I had to look and see what the parents were. Whistling It's one of Curt's! Whistling Since I don't do his catalog anymore, I don't remember his names. One of it's parents is Inca Apothecary - which I have always loved, and the other is Puerto Rican Fence Climbers... another that I remember seeing it the first year in the seedlings. PRFC is a wonderful color. Years ago, Curt sold out of Inca and I gave him my clump. Always sorry I didn't keep a fan.

Wonderful blooms everyone! I am currently trying to buy a house on 1/2 acre so hope to have room for more daylilies and every thing else I want to grow! I think I want to go back to some of the oldies but goodies, they are such good work horses and often not as fussy as some of the newer things. Plus, I'll be on a budget so have to stretch my plant money!

This is one of my seedlings that I just can't toss. It is not pretty. But it is different. Cross of a yellow-white double that is a little spidery to a bright red spider. It has layers of petals. I think this bloom had five layers of petals. Sometimes they don't line up like the do in this picture, and they all kind of stick up. Then it looks like a spider mum or like part of it is in an electrical outlet. Talk about bad hair day! To top it off, it the petals often streak from throat to ends with lighter color. Not thrip streak - but like longways stripes.

It is about 18" tall, bloom about 6-7 inches, and bud count of maybe 6. Rolling on the floor laughing

Hi!
I wish I had more of Dottie's intros! I just love every pic you post of her stuff, Jules! I really like your "different" seedling, too. I have MARGO REED INDEED, but it doesn't look like yours yet, Sue. It is too close to another bigger DL clump. I need to move it. Story of my life.

I'm getting ready to go on the girls' daylily outing today. My cousin's poor mother-in-law can't go because she fell off her bike yesterday morning and broke her kneecap!!! I can only imagine how painful that must be, and she won't be up and about for awhile I bet. If you guys pray, please pray for her quick recovery.

Hope I get some good photos today! I will share them tonight.

Lisa

Monster Magic looks perfect with that lime green hosta behind it. Funny name on SALMON CHANTED EVENING Rolling on the floor laughing Like it! Have fun on your girl's day out Lisa, Jamie Gossard has a lot of great daylilies. Sorry to hear about the accident and broken knee.

Sue, sure hope you get your new place. What fun you could have with all that space. Lovely photo of Margo Reed Indeed. Mine is a starting to clump up and do better this year.

Jules, 'Classy Lady' is one I'm going to have to check out. Have been looking for a really good pink spider. The seedling is really something different. I think it's pretty!

Better get dressed and go get some photos. We got about 2" of rain last night ,so not sure how things will be lookin gthings will be looking.

Here's Orange Velvet. The color never looks right in photo. More of a citrus orange.
