Love the form of Keith Greer. I looked at it and it said "Whatley" to me. Looked it up in the database, and wasn't Whatley, but there was "MOLOKAI" as a parent. It has to go back to Tet Siloam Medallion at some point. Looks a lot like Solar Music.

Would anyone be interested in having a forum for each person to start a thread as sort of a photo gallery of your daylilies? I see some of the people doing that at DG.

I am not sure when Dave plans to get the photo gallery under way here, or if it is still in the works.

I am sorry I have not been able to get some more things set up in here - I have some personal things that have been taking a lot of my time, relating to being unemployed, and they have to take priority right now.

I do plan to make a database at some point..... and write articles....

Yes. The definition of a spider formed daylily is "a bloom whose petal length is 4 times the petal's width". I'm not sure if Springfield Clan is truely a spider by that definition, but it looks spidery to me.

A lot of the older daylilies had a spidery form to them. Actually, their form kind of reminds me of a true lily form.

It was the spidery ones that got me interested in daylilies to begin with. I've sense expanded my taste to some of the other forms, but the spidery and UF's remain my favs. I've always been drawn to the different!

Susan, I just love Indian Sky and that's a very good picture of it. I got it last spring but lost it to our unusually cold winter. So I bought it again this spring. No blooms yet, but if it's like the one I had last year the blooms probably won't look real good this year. Seems it might be one that needs to get settled in for a year or more to perform at it's best? It'll be worth the wait though. It's beautiful!
