Peacock curls was slow for me. Last year a tomato overshadowed it and so I didn't put any there this year. The huge snowmelt we had this Spring made it a stellar year for perennials and Peacock Curls really outdid itself this year.

I just love especially your Heaven's Gatekeeper & Spikey Crown of Creation . . . I'm a sucker for edges like that and the peachy ones are my favorite.

Gram's Dream. I have to wonder if this is in the background of Curt Hanson's Nude Yoga. GD has a very unusual form and the petals either curl around like here or sometimes there are extra petals under the other 3 that hold them upright.

I am anal about dead heading but because I am lazy, I like to grow the ones that are very large flowers because the dead heading is easier. I make exception for Camden Gold Dollar because it is such a prolific bloomer here.

The edges on "Spikey" look shredded; just lovely.

I'm that way about deadheading too. Just hate the look of those dead things. Peacock Curls was very slow to get established for me too. I thought it might be because I had it in less than the best location, but maybe that's just the way it is. After seeing your photos, I wish I had kept a piece of it.

I don't necessarily like it for the colors . . . just the curls.

Here's a couple seedlings with lots of twists and curls. The 2 one the left are one seedling and the one on the right another, but they are very much alike. The parents are Margo Reed Indeed, a white and Lemon Meringue Twist, a yellow. Wasn't expecting lavenders.
