A few pictures from late this afternoon in my yard.

Tufted Titmouse have been around lately, they love the suet and the sunflower seeds:

There's just something I really like about those feisty little Carolina Wrens. So small but they have such moxie!

They really do, don't they! I love their songs too.

The other day a bunch of birds were bathing & the little wren came & sat on the edge of the bird bath wanting it's turn. Well, the much larger birds than it were trying to scare the wren off the little wren was not being bullied & just stood it's ground. Made my heart happy.

We have Cactus Wrens here and they are pretty social and fun to watch. First it got its feathers damp from a yucca that got a drink from my hose then it spent quite a while sand bathing this morning.

Same old, same olds are always pretty birds!

nothing like old friends! your friends are our friends. I see the same birds everyday & I imagine I love them like you love yours
(2 in that set are birds I've never ever seen in person - the tufted & the red-bellied.)

I agree ... I love the birds that are common in my area and I love seeing photo's of birds that are new to me, like that pretty Cactus Wren!!

Looks like it is a Northern Parula Lin! Maybe migrating through.

Thanks Ann! My Stokes Field Guide shows the Northern Parula here year round but it's a first sighting for me! I have a friend who lives on the intracoastal in Ormond Beach, just north of me and she sees them all the time.
