Hetty and I are willing to sell some plants to help Mike to help those whom ordered from his co-op.

Here is the problem. Mikes Google Spreadsheets were hacked and so was him Paypal. He has no records of who ordered what, what they paid for, what they got, and what is still owed them.
I am going to use the honor system and trust those of you whom are owed plants or money to post a list along with I need a copy of your Paypal saying what you have paid for. If you don't feel comfortable posting on the thread Treemail me the info or treemail me for my email addy to forward your paypal reciept to. I am asking for your patience as sorting this out is going to be not only tough but time consuming. I am willing to do whatever I can to help straighten this out.

As you all know this is not going to be easy and will take work on your part to get the info I need. Also remember as hard as it is for you to get that info for me it will be however many of you will be for me to sort things out.

Mike feels really bad but without his spreadsheets and paypal account info it is really hard to do anything. If you want to treemail me any questions I will try to answer. But as of right now I need you all to help me help you.

It is not going to seem fair but I am going to set a 1 month deadline on getting me the info needed. Now I am leaving it up to you if you want me to try for you. One month from today 10/04/2013 is the deadline to get me a list of what you ordered and your paypal receipt. After this deadline this whole matter will be considered closed to those whom don't get me the info needed.

Thanks for helping me help you. Hetty and I have plants we are willing to sell to help with the money needed. If anyone reading this can help please let me know.

Great start Sandy.
If anyone wants Plumeria cuttings or plants in lieu of a refund they can approach me directly (giving the same information Sandy has asked for).

I never have ordered anything from Mike, but am sure Mike will solve the problems with those effected. It seems like he's had a great past track record in the sales history...

Its kind of you two to speak for him in this disaster! Thumbs up

I'm sure we'll be hearing from Mike soon...

I am here to speak up on ChefMikes integrity as a previous Buyer. I am certain he sent in the co-op funds in good faith to have plants sold to him. It sounds as if obviously something went seriously wrong with the plan coupled with Mike's personal issues. It is a sad situation all the way around. Kudos to those trying to help Mike fix it.

I have to agree with Cheryl. Mike has always offered quality plants at excellent prices and has been scrupulous about making sure all co-op participants were taken care of. This one has been an extraordinary combination of problems with his suppliers and a total breakdown in both his job situation and his personal life. If there is some way I can help out with this effort, I'd be happy to do so.

I have not heard from anyone yet. If anyone is reading this that is owed money please this is not a punishment or for anyone to think ill of you. This really is a way to help you and Mike. Actually it is more to help you as Mike will recover but it will take alot time and prayers. I ordered from him from an earlier co-op. The plumerias were Great and everything went smooth. As time went on from what I understand as I haven't been around in a while is plants weren't what they were suppose to be, His back surgery was a huge issue (I can relate as my back surgery failed and left me disabled).

Personal issues and then to top it off he was hacked. All records gone with no way of recovering. That leaves one really devasted with no where to turn except back to you all for your records. He feels so bad and now with no were to live due to no income. Thank God for his sister. I have no idea were he is keeping the plants what was dead when it came or anything like that. I have actually thought of driving to Florida to help him with them but I just don't have funds to do that. If by chance he still has any of your plants we can raise maoney for the shipping. But with the hacking you need to help us by telling us what you had coming.

It is really sad as with no records this is sooo hard.

If you would like to do this without feeling like you are wrong for asking (AND YOU ARE NOT) as no one today has money to just throw away. But we can keep your identity protected.
Mike doesn't have an unscrupulous bone in his body. He is out a ton of money himself. I have been on his facebook and so far he has offered 10 plumerias with no ID for 25 dollars and 2 different desert rose for 30 dollars each. He is not on there much as he has no phone now and had to pawn his computer.

Just rest assured you are doing nothing wrong by wanting your money back.

I am going to add I do have red lycoris I can send out and white rain lilies, giant elephant ears, and will have to look around and see what else I may have.

Let me ad the deadline is for us mainly so we can get this done and everyone happy. I feel that gives everyone time to see this and get the info we need.

You can go here to see how we are trying to help. The thread "I want to help you recover co-op monies from chefmike/ with 1 month deadline..." in Classifieds and Group Buys forum This isn't a witch hunt but a way we are hoping to get some money back into your hands. Unless you want different this will be kept private. Hetty has committed a few plants to sell, I have a few I can sell and Woofie has graciously committed to do a private spreadsheet. Please don't let your pride get in the way of us blessing you as that is all this is about.
The deadline is needed for people like me as I procrastinate alot and I know it will take some work for you to get the records together. The deadline is to contact us then it may take us a little while to pull this off but I promise you I will give it my best shot. If we don't end up with enough money for everyone I promise to do my best to get a percentage to everyone. So please let us help. I really want to do this to help all of you which will also help Mike. But I promise I am doing it more for you than him.

I am wondering if you may be thinking we shouldn't be doing this. Maybe your thinking it is a lot of work for us to do or perhaps you are thinking that we shouldn't give up the money from our plants? I know at one time I thought stuff like that.

About 6 months after my husband lost his job I went to church and a lady called and ask if I would be at church as she had something for me. We had a very old car and when we bought it for 400 dollars it needed a drivers side door window. It was 1993 and the car was a 1974 Datsun we bought for 400 dollars. We located a window at a junk yard for 38 dollars and my husband put it in. well something wasn't just right and the window shattered. How on earth could I pay for another one??? Well on my way to church that night I kept thinking that she might be giving me money that would cover a new window and I would stop myself because 5 dollars would be a blessing. As the window had plastic and tape and it scared me as it was wednesday night and anyone could reach tear it off and hurt me. Well all these thoughts of how much was going off in my head and I kept grabbing them and saying stop it.

When I arrived at church Marty was there and said the envelope she had was not from her it was from someone whom wanted to stay anonymous. I ask her how does one take what someone was giving them as it is so hard to do. She explained to me that by not accepting what was given me I would lose that persons blessing. It was still hard to accept but she explained it a more and I accepted it. I decided I would wait till I was home and open the envelope with my DH.

When I got home he was also struggling with it and I explained what she had said. We took a deep breath to prepare for the feelings that would flood over us. We said we really hoped it was enough to by another 38 dollar window. There was a check inside and I took a deep breath and unfolded it. .......OMGosh it was 1000.00 DOLLARS. We both broke down and cried.
It was still hard to accept but it was enough for the window and and 1 months bills. It was only the first of many miracles Jesus did for us. It was a very humbling experience as your pride say oh my it is too hard to accept from others....but I learned to smile and say TY. Still hard at times with just little things like my friend buying me lunch but I nod and say Thank You.

I am saying this to say we wouldn't do this if we didn't want too. The thing that scares me is my plants won't sell and so no money is made....Well when I worked at Waffle House after he was fired...The tips were awful as no one believed I only made 3.00 an hour. When I counted them it was hard but I would put a smile in my heart and say "This is exactly how much God wanted me to take home. So that said I am saying it will be exactly what God wanted. Good or Bad Jesus is always in control.

So that said I really hope to hear from some of you. Please don't stay mad. Bad things happen to good people and if I could stop bad things in life I would have done that years ago. But I can't so although it is hard sometimes Very hard..I pick myself up and dust myself off and reach to heaven for guidance. Yeah I know I make it sound easy....but at times it is still so very very hard. But I make it Smiling sometimes crying the whole way. It is only money and I learned I can't take stuff with me but I can love people unconditionally and help when I can.

All that said Group hug Group hug Group hug to all of you.

Blessings,
Sandy

When we read the newspaper or watch the news on TV, most of what we see is the evil in the world. I know some of you think what Sandy and Hetty are doing is corny or even a waste of time and energy, but I beg to differ. Good people do good deeds, neither expecting anything in return nor lamenting the fact that other's don't lend a hand. They do what their heart says is right and that emotion comes from God.

Thanks Sandy and Hetty. I tip my hat to you.

Well said Sandy. Nothing needs to be added. Except a big thank you to @sheryl who started the 'kindness and giving' ball rolling a while back.

If I may add just one more thing that I realized some years ago. If you want to give kindness or be charitable, you also have to be willing to accept kindness and charity.

Yes Hetty You are right @sheryl you were the first to start the "Pass it Forward" You are so appreciated and loved. Your huge act of Kindness lead my heart to pitch in.

And Woofie TY as she is going to do a private spreadsheet that no one sees except her and maybe I . We don't want anyone felt ill will of because they want a refund. That would be so wrong to allow you to be treated wrong because you need and want your money back. That would be wrong as this is about loving and sharing.

@drdawg for your kind words.

Glad to know that there's good people and we're all in the same camp.

I don't want any money, lol, but I would love a start of the Stuttgart canna, if anyone has one!

Thanks for doing this, you two - I kinda ran out of money and a little bit of patience, so glad you're there to pick it up. Has anyone heard from Mike?
In the end, only kindness matters.
