I thought I'd share a photo of my favorite little Gesneriad. I've grown other Gessies in the past (African Violets, Episcia, Sinningia etc.) but this is one of the easiest in my opinion. I can't remember how I acquired this little plant, it was either from a trade on DG or an order from the Violet Barn website. I've had it about 7 years and it's one of my all time favorite little miniature plants. In the past I've grown it in a terrarium with overhead light and on a plant stand with overhead lights but for the past four or five years it remains on a tabletop that receives filtered light from a south facing window. It blooms off and on all year with soil kept slightly moist and rare fertilizer. Meet ....

Did this little cutie ever make any seeds? I've never even heard of this plant before. Leaves like AV, flowers more like Viola. How cool!
