since a couple of hours I get no more E-Mail-Notification that someone has sent me a Tree-Mail....

There does seem to be some strangeness with that system.

Okay, now this just happened to me. There is no notice of there being any mail for me. But when I went to my mail to send a note, there was one waiting for me from Sue.

Both Sue and I are in the same time zone, her mail was sent almost 1/2 hour before I accidentally found it.
Not sure if that will help figure out what is going on?

Lynn do you mean you don't get the t-mail notification or a notice in your personal email that you have a message waiting on ATP? That only kicks in if you haven't checked in here for a day or maybe it's 2 days.

No, I opted out for that. I was just talking about the little red envelop not being red, when I had an treemail from you. It had been there for almost 1/2 an hour before I found it. The little envelop was not turning red. It seems to be working now.

OK, because that's what Peter asked about, his email notification, so I thought maybe that's what you were asking about.

the e-mail-adress I use here is from our homepage and it was down; I thought I've used my gmx here....

You can change your email address in your profile. Since you had bounces the system disabled the notifications in your preferences so you'll have to set them again.
