My Lexington Avenue is a very dark reddish wine and I love it. I don't have any of his that I don't love and used many when I hybridized them. Such fun to know ahead of time that all the results will be great.

Malaysian Monarch is such a beauty here. When I sent it to a California friend it looked lackluster.

After looking thru his long list of intros, I realize that I only have three of his.

I thought I would bump this thread back up. Anyone have new pics of their Munson plants in their gardens. I am sorry to add that I add the ones I have back before I knew to tag and keep records. I don't sell those because I am not positive on each ID. I really should buy a few new ones. He has some awesome cultivars!

One that I did add last year is INCA PRINCE. It is so vivid!

Lovely but rust loves it and it has had crown rot once.


It has been slow to increase here.


This has become one of my favorite daylilies.
Vigorous. Large crepe blooms.
And rust resistant.

Nice ones, when I think of Munson, purples come to mind but he did a wide array of colors.

I have quite a few Munsons. Most of them get rust horribly. But some are among my sub collection of "gotta get rid of rust so I can keep these beauties".
These were growing in pots not long after I got them. I lost FP in moving house. But am waiting for blooms to confirm I still have the first two.

FLORENTINE PRINCESS which I did lose. A very neat flower.

After some research I think I would like to add African Grape and Cairo Night.
Desert Tan is interesting too.
