Something weird is going on with the emoticons. When I use them, my cursor stays in front of them instead of moving along at the end of them. And just recently the hugs one quit working for me. It also quit working for another member. @Natalie

I just had an anomaly, too, with this post:
http://garden.org/thread/view_...

I had typed down to the hurrah emoticon, added it, then place the cursor up where you see the yellow biggrin. I clicked on the biggrin emoticon, and it placed it after the hurrah emoticon, instead of where I had the cursor. I tried several times and could not get a biggrin where I wanted it. I finally just started a completely new post, and added the emoticons in succession as I typed.

It's been kind of hit or miss for me. Sometimes they work perfectly, sometimes they don't work at all, and other times the cursor ends up before the emoticons, instead of at the end of them.

I have that problem too, couldn't get the nodding green grin to go where the cursor was. nodding Green Grin! Big Grin Glare

I have again confirmed that I can only place emoticons at the end of my messages, where ever that may be at the time of writing.

I did some updates to the smilies code yesterday morning and as a result, it was only putting the smily at the end of the post. I never realized that people typed their message first and then added smilies later. Smiling So, this morning I updated it again so that when you click on the smily icon, it will put the smily exactly where your cursor is situated. And to test, I will click my cursor somewhere else in this post and click on an icon.

And it worked!

No, Lin's profile is setup to show the smilies.

I suspect it's a caching issue because of the recent changes. I'll get it fixed soon, or her cache can be cleared with a Shift-Refresh.
