I am posting this with IE right now and it's working. So, anyone having trouble with the smilies: please refresh your browser by holding the shift key down and while holding it, click on the refresh button of your browser.

After doing that, I think everything should work for you again.

It's not working for me either…Mac/Safari…I click on it ,and nothings happening.
Had trouble with it on the Florida forum, and after several tries it worked, but, here…Having trouble again...

Looks like Mac users are having trouble, as well as users of MSIE 7 or earlier. I'll look into it.

In the meantime, if you have Firefox, Chrome, or IE 9+, the smilies should have no trouble there.

looks OK to me.

P.S. I went back and added parenthesis around the first to smilies, after typing the msg and Previewing. When I left no space between the parenthesis and the colons in the smiley codes, the smilies did not show up (only the text codes).

And when I try to click on a smily from It's Execreble 7, I get no smily-code at all.

Which is about what I expect from IE, let alone IE7.

But the rest of the site is surprisingly readable with IE7!

Still not working even rebooted computer using IE. Also on the messages each person name in the grey area has the badges running vertically down the side instead of horizontal like it use to be, so you have to scroll a long way if a person has a lot of badges before you get to the message.

Betty, I will look into this. In the meantime, you should know that your web browser was released 7 years ago and that is literally ancient in computer terms. Upgrading to a modern browser would serve you very well, both here at ATP and everywhere else on the web. Upgrading to Firefox or Chrome will automatically copy over all your bookmarks so you shouldn't lose anything.
