Ann, copper is too expensive to let my hubby play with, he measures 3 times and still get's it wrong and he can't cut a straight line!

Better to buy the bird feeders then.

If I was going to have something made of copper like that, I'd paint it or something so it doesn't look like copper. People will steal copper...I mean it, it disappears. Copper is much in demand, so thieves look around to spot anything that appears to be copper.

Linda I know what your mean about copper theft, I hear about it all the time, so far not here in our town. Copper is worth big bucks these days, we have a large copper mine about 10 minute drive from town, when the price wasn't so high the mine cut back and thought about closing, now it is really booming, which of course is great for the town.

Lots of Juncos here today. Lots! Hope that is not a sign of a cold winter coming.

If I had those copper feeders here, the squirrels would be camping out in that big open tray and eating all the birdseed.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far, so good. I'm not really sure they could get a grip on that domed roof & that's part of why I chose them. Another thing is they can't grip with their feet & hang upside down & eat from the tray which is what they did most of the time with all my other feeders.

Great shots! We see the Chickadees on and off year round here. They always seem to be in the company of Titmice. They move so fast, it can be hard to get a shot of them.

I saw the Carolina Chickadee this morning too & ran for the camera & it was gone.

I keep trying to get a clear shot of some sparrows I have so I can ID them. they look like the chipping but have no rust on top of their heads. They are often with the house sparrows.
