Betty, it would be interesting to see pics of both side by side in your garden.

OK, I'll try -- but the dip is in the ground and the tet. conversion just arrived and is in a pot, so they may not bloom at the same time -- but I'll do my best.

I have ordered my first new intro from Floyd Cove and it is called BOLD RAVEN. Hurray!

Most of my daylilies are tets but I do remember I ordered Beautiful Edgings from two different people and one is a dip and the other a converted tet . So, I will see which one looks the best I guess and if anyone wants seeds or pollen please let me know and I will mail you some as soon as I figure out how to collect it. Whistling

I'm pretty much new to daylilies and wasn't familiar with Floyd Cove.
Sure like the direction shown on the website.
Blooms look to have lots of substance to me.

Gleni said:$300 on daylilies is perfectly sane. On a purse, they should have their heads examined.

Oh, you are so correct on this.

Besides, can one imagine how many daylilies the price of some purses would get?
One sold for $159,999.00 on Ebay but had "free shipping"

What do these type of measurements refer to in Floyd Cove descriptions?

eg. here 6” x 4 ¼” x 2 ¼”.

DIXIE SUNRISE (Stamile,P.) TET 5108-C (Leslie Renee X Judy Farquhar) 30” ERe. Emo. Nofr. Ext. Ev. 6” x 4 ¼” x 2 ¼”. 5-way branching (3 laterals plus terminal Y). 35 buds.

I think the terminal Y is counted as two branches and the other is the size of the flower. If something has 3 laterals plus a Y then it is said to have 5 branches. I only look at the first number in the flower measurement so I know how wide it is. A 6 or 7 inch flower is a bonus plant to me. Love them biggies!

I think the first is overall bloom width, the second, is the width of the petals and the third, the width of the sepals.

Mine from Floyd Cove arrived. Woo hoo!!
And they look great, the best I have ever received.
The roots are enormous as are the plants. Three dishpans of plants.
They were soaked overnight in Superthrive, and are now
planted in the best soil bed I have.

We ordered from them last year spring and fall. Our first time for fall
delivery, and with such a cold winter, I expected to lose some, but they
weathered the harsh cold temps very well. They are all out there growing,
with no fan loss.

Another plus is the Pierce plants had no rust last year, none whatsoever.
I'm happy. No, I'm beyond happy, I'm ecstatic!!!

Awesome. I talked to Karen today - my plants are coming late next week or the week after. I've given up trying to predict the weather so I am ready to just move on with spring!

Same here, James. We have one night in the forecast that
may be near freezing. If so, I'll just do the protective cover
thingy. Like you, I totally give up on knowing what the weather will do.
It used to be rather predictable from one year to the next or
even one month to the next.

I live in zone 8 so all mine had rust. Unfortunately the worst one was Rollercoaster Rush. LOL. The good news is that I see none that died over the winter. Hurray!

Shirlee, those are awesome fans. I cannot wait to get mine!

Shirlee, I got my first order last spring and wow. They are the ones that gave me CHERRY ICE CREAM SMILE as a bonus and I was beside myself. LOL. This year I am getting a new intro and a few of the ones they are discontinuing. I cannot wait to see them bloom, they are all great bloomers. This is a few from last year when they bloomed. It was spectacular!
