I shouldn't have looked, I am thinking seriously about the miniature collection......

What is remarkable is that I prefer huge bold day lilies, yet their miniatures have me entranced.....

No, not this year but next year for sure. I got about 35 from the lily auction and they are mostly Stamil and Pierce. I got three times as many ordering single fans from James Hall mostly. I also got some from Tink and Abundantdaylilies but that is all. I will not be juggling 15 vendors this year. lol. Hilarious! (it was fun though!)

Some of the daylilies I am getting:

DIAMOND SILK (Pierce, G. 2010) 2Fans
ROMEO PRINCE (Stamile, Pierce 2011) 1Fan
CROWNING FIRE 2011 FALL STAMILE PIERCE DOUBLE FAN
BAREFOOT BAY 2011 FALL STAMILE SINGLE FAN
SUPERSTITIOUS 2012 FALL G PIERCE SINGLE FAN
CELTIC BUTTERFLY (Stamile-Pierce 2012) DF
DANCING JUBILEE 2012 FALL G PIERCE SINGLE FAN
BLONDES BEACH G PIERCE 2012 SINGLE FAN
GREAT WHITE DOVE 2012 FALL GUY PIERCE SINGLE FAN
MOVING PICTURE 2012 FALL G PIERCE SINGLE FAN
CURB APPEAL 2012 FALL PIERCE LARGE SINGLE FAN
BIG RED WAGON (Stamile, P. Fall09) 1Fan
MYSTIC IMAGE (Pierce, G. 2011) 2Fans
VOLARIS 2012 G PIERCE SINGLE FAN
RED BULL STAMILE 2012 FALL LARGE SINGLE FAN
SWEET ALMOND MINT 2012 FALL PIERCE SINGLE FAN
JURASSIC PINK 2012 FALL GUY PIERCE SINGLE FAN
WALTER KENNEDY (Stamile,P. Fall2009) 2Fans

I am thankful to be getting these single fans because I will have a much bigger variety of what I like and they are all drop-dead gorgeous!!

Green Grin! Not to get off topic but I am real excited about getting 'PRICELESS' even if it is a single fan. Drooling

I can see why! Very beautiful. I am not a big fan of SFs but I have gotten some very nice ones from the sellers you mentioned. Have fun!

Nice catch there Susan !! I also got a single fan of "Priceless" last spring which had a small fan coming up. It also had a scape which the seller cut before shipping. A prolif was on what was left of the scape. I don't think it will survive the winter. Looking back in retrospect, i should have potted it and brought it in the house for the winter. I currently have four prolifs in a south facing window. The only other one on your list that I have coming is "Red Bull".

Thank you Mike! I am very sorry to hear about your Priceless, it is such a beautiful flower. I am also looking forward to Red Bull. This is the first year I bought any reds the others I got were mostly bonus plants. I mostly fall in love with the pink ones, Have you seen 'Jurassic Pink' (Stamile-Pierce, 2012) Drooling

Karen has posted a few more pictures of a couple of their new intros, plus two toothy daylily futures out of SPINEFELD -- love those toothies!

They are great looking! I have a number of seedlings from BLUE MARTINI X SPINEFELD growing under lights. I can't wait to see them bloom - I think I should get scapes on at least 5 of them this year!

You're welcome, Karen! Do you know yet whether either of those toothier is an Evergreen, or a SEV? It seems like almost all the toothies that I like are Dormants and don't do so well here over time, which is one reason I've been so excited about SPINEFELD -- that and the fact that I saw tons of teeth on the very first blooms in April! With the Dormants I have to wait until it really warms up to see a good show of teeth.

James, I bought 5 or 6 seeds of BLUE MARTINI X SPINEFELD on the Lily Auction back in October and have some really small seedlings -- so I probably won't see blooms until 2015, unfortunately. But I think it's an exciting cross, and I hope you'll share pictures in our seedlings threads. I really can't wait until spring now. We've been having beautiful weather here, along with absolutely no rainfall or snowpack buildup in the mountains, so I may have to practically starve my plants for water come summer unless the heavens really let loose very very soon! And now I have a nasty case of spring fever because of our fabulous weather... nodding

Just looking at the site again. What does "bapped" mean. Sounds like something to avoid?

Bapped means it has had a chemical applied called BAP or BAP-10 that helps the plant increase and/or makes proliferations. There is talk about it harming the plant, making the pollen sterile, making the plant weak; some say it does and others say it doesn't.

Where did you see 'bapped'? I heard it was a bad growth hormone and wears out the plant......
