I have never seen a seed pod on ditchlilies.

I'm not real sure but I'd think you could take the pods right before they turn brown and split open. Lay them on a counter top on a paper towel to dry thoroughly and then remove the seeds.

If you're referring to this lily,
Ditch Lily (Hemerocallis fulva)
it doesn't set seed, but spreads by rhizomes, according to AHS:

Thank you very much @woofie. I thought it was just me, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. You have save me countless hours of smacking my self in the forehead. Ouch!

Just be cautious where you plant them since they can be very aggressive and quickly take over. They can be hard to get rid off also.

I hate using sprays but had to douse my ditch daylily twice, with the concentrated Poison Ivy Killer, to eliminate it. Claudia is right - listen to her.

The Ask A Question forum does not have a thread closed option.

I've often wondered about that. Seems every forum should have the option to close a thread when it has reached its logical conclusion. I assume the initiating member or a moderator/admin would be the only one allowed to do so. Although I guess I've seen long-stagnant threads get reactivated so perhaps it's enough to just let them fall to the bottom of the list due to inactivity.

Since I can not close the thread I have found a solution. I have removed the original question.

What about other people who have the same question? A secondary benefit of this forum is that others can receive answers to the same question that has been posed in the past. By blanking out your post you're making it worth nothing to future visitors to this thread.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, I've never used the "Ask A Question" forum myself. Can you "uncheck" that box when your question is answered?

The email that gets sent includes a link that you can click on to turn it off.

As a rule, you are automatically sent emails for all threads that you watch, you can not do some and not others. However, you can stop watching any thread at any time and therefore stop receiving emails about that thread by clicking on the "unwatch this thread" option at the bottom of each thread.
