Yummy! I always forget about making the spinach/strawberry salad!

We just tried the kale/bacon/ bacon/bacon/mushroom soup and onion dish. It was wonderful! Thanks for the recipe idea!

Save the pot liquor from the collards, save the water from boiling the potatoes, and you are halfway to a really good soup. Add onion, chopped cabbage, corn, potatoes (and/or barley), ham if you have some, and go bake some bread. Easy. Healthy. If you like greens, cut some long strips of kale and add near the end of the cooking time.

Never thought of making soup with it. We always just poured it into a small bowl and sopped it up with the cornbread...none left for soup.

I cooked lentils yesterday and added a small bunch of baby spinach just toward the end. To die for....

Many years ago (1970) there was a recipe going around to make a 'meatloaf' which had no meat (shut your mounth!)
but was made of brown lentils. To me it tasted like the real thing and was even better cold the next day as a 'meatloaf" sandwich. Does anyone out there remember the recipe?

Are you trying to find it or just asking if anyone remembers, cause if you have the recipe, i would love to try it.

@abhege Sorry I worded my post badly, I was hoping someone out there would have the recipe, thanks. The one I used to eat was made from a 'Secret Recipe' and the person absolutely would not share.
