Here is Adeline I purchase
From JT. This one I Thought
was a Quad Bloom and was
Hanging on the plant forever.

So after Dissecting the bloom
I discovered it had 6 skirts on
this one.

What we all need to remember, dare I say it,is that doubles/triples etc.are all actually deformed flowers.
That is one reason we see so much variation between flowers. There are even some that bloom singles and doubles on the same plant.Rosalla,Double Delight and Knightii come to mind and there are others.

Watch for a new forum tomorrow if time permits.I want to start one on hybridizing.I'm thinking flower parts, pollen, where to get it and where to put it.What to expect and what to do with the seed when you get them.I am hoping for participation from some others on this.

here is a pic of her and the ribbon origami chime
i gave her. a lady in town makes these beautiful
things. yes, there are some beautiful things that
do not grow in the dirt!

Some of these names I've never heard of and they all are just gorgeous. I want one of every one but alas I live in WI which means they come indoors in winter and I'm running out of room.

My hubby says he will draw the line of us sleeping in the car in winter to keep the dumb plants warm.

The NERVE he's got!

oh yeah you right I do know someone with a large greenhouse and I bet she'd even let me come visit them once in awhile.

I do want to try out the GPS dh got me for Christmas but NOT till this blasted snow is GONE and alas they're calling for snow tomorrow. Depending on who's giving it, ds's phone weather says 9-14", hubby's paper says 5-9"and I say Grumbling

I want a serious talk with Mother Nature if she would just quit avoiding me.
