We'll get colder than that out here. No concrete to hold heat, no buildings to block that cold wind....Burrr, not looking forward to it.

Got back here on Monday. Checked the outside plants and they all seem to be okay. I have nuns orchids in pots which we brought in last night. Most of them have bloom spikes on them so was afraid that they might be toast when we got back here. This year has been pretty rough so far -- DH having digestive problems, and is now on a soft diet and we have to go back to AR in a month for another Dr. appointment and perhaps surgery in the future.

@flaflwrgrl Didn't wave as we went through Lake City. Busy driving -- something I haven't done in years on the expressway, however DH needed help so I had to get 'er done.

That's okay Jean. I don't like to take my hands off the wheel on the Interstate either. Hilarious!

Glad you're back safely. That's all that counts.

Sure hope you can get to the root of dh's digestion. Group hug Group hug Group hug

@flaflwrgrl The Dr. found out that DH's problem was a very bad case of diverticulosis and he took a biopsy which was negative, however, if antibiotics and diet don't take care of it, the only alternative is a resection of the colon, which is not a happy prospect at his age or any age for that matter. Of course, it isn't as bad as what our son had a year ago, which is something to be thankful for.

On a lighter note, when he feels better and downloads the pictures we took out in AZ at Christmas, I will have to post a picture of some cute Santa "sleighs" daughter and I made for the grandchildren/great grandchildren. I thought you would appreciate them as our Santas had no arms, too!

Well, I sure hope the antibiotics work b/c resection is not anything to jump with joy about. Will be keeping my fingers crossed, sending white light & all positive energy!

What an absolutely STUPENDOUS day it is. This is how N FL is supposed to feel in the winter. low 70s & plenty of sunshine. I've cleaned off my potting bench, repotted a few house plants, cut down the dead cannas, pulled down dead vines, measured the space where I want to put the pergola, and have just been enjoying being out in the fresh air.

Next task is to mix up some starter soil for the next batch of seeds.

Even had to switch to shorts & roll up my shirt sleeves!!!!!

One of the tropical hibiscus has nice size buds and the Nun's Orchid has bloom shoots coming up. Both have been living in the shed. They will be moving back inside tomorrow.
Blessed are the Quilters for they are the Piecemakers.

Happy February!!!!

This AM is 20 deg warmer than the high 2 days ago!!!!!

Looking forward to flinging the shed doors open & bringing the plants out to enjoy the WARM FL air.

The tree trimmers dumped a load of mulch in the yard so need to start moving that around before we get too much rain & it triples in weight!!!!
