Hi Sue--I've been doing some daylily research recently and came across two vastly different photos of 'Amber Stained Glass.' There's yours above and the AHS photo below. I know that a single cultivar blossom can be quite variable, often dependent upon conditions or the camera. Are these photos actually of the same cultivar? Best--Larry

Hi Larry, if you notice the caption listed above, it's not my photo. I am certain this is the same daylily though, same eye pattern. The one submitted by Pat Stamile was most likely taken early in the morning when the color is intense. Patrick Guidry has his daylilies out in the full sun so it looks like this was taken after the sun faded it.
You may see this type of difference more often with the hybridizer photos compared to actual garden photos. Green Grin!
