I love the sound of that, "A cookbook for when your garden explodes", what a great title. I just wish that would happen in my garden.

It's really a great cookbook, includes information on growing, when and how to harvest, as well as lots of good recipes and other nifty stuff. Zucchini cookies, anyone?

My children are grown and keep telling me they will never forgive me for putting zucchini into everything that one year.

@greene, I was like that with pumpkin this fall/winter. I still have 18 cups in the freezer! I bought a ton of Long Island Cheese, Jarrahdale, Blue Hubbard, Musquee de Provence, and Red Warty Thing.

We have done pumpkin pancakes and waffles a bunch.

I taught my children that pumpkin pie IS breakfast.
Most people eat eggs and bread/toast with butter, right? or cereal with milk? or pastry/doughnuts?
So add the vegetable (unless you call it a fruit) and voila !, pie is a much better choice for the first meal of the day.

Oh. Wait. No. Don't tell me that pumpkin is a fruit, too?!!!
And I love pumpkin pie for breakfast. Yum!

And I love it that grains are technically a fruit. So the flour in that pumpkin pie crust is ALSO a fruit! Hee hee! Thanks for the link, greene! So now when I put cucumbers and tomatoes and avocados in my salad, I can call it fruit salad! Nice to know that I really do have a fair amount of fruit in my diet.

Nope. I just don't care for what is generally called "fruit." I prefer mine in liquid form, and aged.

Exactly. And since I think the original suggestion was a good one, I'd like to see more discussion on the subject.

and a listing by catagory all in one place would be very helpful I should think. Especially for a lazy hunter of info like Moi (SP?)
