If you have perennial beds that need mulch or compost this spring, try this idea.

hehehe. We bought the house in '05 and I'm not one for moving. Did that too many times before we bought the house. We were rarely in an apt for more than a year before we moved.. hated moving. Told my DH that once we buy a house, I'm gonna be like either an oak tree or a dandelion. gonna put down roots & that's IT. That mountain of mulch right there was a great buy... all I had to do was pay for the delivery. Got over 12 CY of cedar for $80. Can't beat that with a stick. Really dreading having to buy mulch this spring... gonna run probably around $500 or so. $41/CY plus delivery... ugh! I've done the bags of western cedar and it gets too expensive for what all I need to do. Even if they go majorly on sale, I think it takes like 9 bags to make 1 CY. But my math isn't the best and I need at least 15-20 CY to cover my entire yard front & back.

I think that simple solutions are harder to think of than Rube Goldberg solutions.
Simple EFFECTIVE solutions are even harder!

If I had an army of volunteers with shovels, weeding tools and wheelbarrows, I'd never think at all!
