why the move?
Why has Dave made another website besides Cubits and is he no long affiliated with Cubits?
Was it sold?

In a nut shell..no, it was not sold (cubits). This web site is to be just gardening related, and is also designed to generate income for Dave.

By its very structure, Cubits couldn't generate income because there were so many owners, so you could say that Dave and Trish took us all on a free ride for almost a year and a half. But don't worry about membership or subscription fees, CR, because the income here is ad-generated and won't come from members. Another free ride for us.

I miss the structure of cubits, but I'll get used to this. At least it has big pictures.

I still have a few things to go to Cubits for, including a couple of databases as well as my personal Home and Garden one but I really missed the DG type layout so this new site is a welcome update from that with the Cubit type format and features, a nice combo. Dave and Trish also have a few surprise features in mind for the future so this is going to be one awesome site! And no subscription either, that counts for a lot!

I love this! Never could get the hang of Cubits so I just stopped visiting. This familiar format is great.

I'm still a member of the other Dave's too.

Zuzu: Isn't she beautiful? Got her at the shelter ... spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Now I'm having to remember what it was like to have a Siamese. She is driving me nuts. Name's Minerva. Bought her a bezillion toys. What does she play with? Wadded up paper. Go figure!! I love her.

She is gorgeous, Judy. I love shelter cats. We get such a good deal, when you consider the usual cost of spaying and all that, and the cats really need us.

I'm getting ready to probably take in my neighbor's two kitties. Why? They just had a new baby and the kitties want to explore the baby. So, goodbye kitties.

I *hate* people like that. hate hate hate. Put them WAY down on my list of favorite people on the planet. Not bad enough that they're on frickin' welfare half the time (he's a contractor, and the economy was hit hard in that area, so he wasn't making much $$) and Medicaid paid for the baby.. but now getting rid of the two kitties because they have a new baby? Oh, and they also bought a chihuahua puppy whom of which the cats are attacking. Told them, well, you bring a rat into the house with rat killers, guess what's gonna happen!

Thank you, Toni. I share your sentiments about people throwing away animals, but I would not have Minerva if they didn't. I think she may have been too much for her previous owners. It appears she may have had a voice box operation too ... she has a very hoarse and tiny meow which is unlike a Siamese who yowls loudly. She was picked up with a litter of non-Siamese kittens so she was probably a throw-away for several reasons. They think she's about 2 years old. If anyone has ever had a Siamese in season, you would know why a voice box operation was considered. Once you spay them, the awful sounds stop, though. I'm sure she appreciates her Fancy Feast, having the run of the house, and being able to sleep on the bed (or wherever her majesty pleases). She is an indoor cat until further notice.
