Sun...................what is that? 3" of rain & more lightning than I've seen in the last year in the last 2 days & no end till late tmrw. Sure wish I could open the roof of my GH!!!! The doors are open since it is so warm out. But I'm not complaining - don't need to shovel the rain!!!! And I should have ripe tomatoes before 2015!!!!

Yeah, Pictures, We Want Pictures! Hurray!

We've had almost no rain from this front so far. I'm hoping tomorrow we'll get a good douse.

I'll send rain...................................I NEED some sunshine. 75 & drizzle is not fun; 75 & sunshine would be wonderful!!!!
OK, I'll look for pot pics. By now you all should know I am not a pic taker. Mine are very basic, nothing like David's masterpieces.

Its been really greay and bleak around here and I haven't been gardening a lot. I did take a ton of pictures though yesterday of how things look now here. We can all find something pretty in our gardens in even Central and North Florida. You South Floridians don't get the browns and drab we do think... Smiling

Anyways,......if anyone would like to see what the last month of this year looks like in my front gardens (The back is another story and mostly veggies, will be showing soon),

I posted many here:

Good Morning!

David - come on up........................we have plenty of sunshine & I have weeds you can pull!!!!
I'll be painting kitchen cabinets the next couple days. Did the lower cabinets in May when DH was out of town. Then it got too humid to paint out in the garage. Then in Nov, when I planned to finish, it was dang cold. Looks like we are going to have 4 nice days so pulled the doors off last nite & have them on saw horse table in garage. My goal is to have them painted & back up before the end of the year!!!!

Santa brought me a weather station so I could monitor the temps in the 3 GH. Well, nothing is more than 75 ft from the house (that is length of hose & it goes everywhere) and this station says "optimum performance up to 100' & up to 300' if no obstructions". Well, last nite I finally found a window where it worked. Now this AM, I've lost the signals for 2 of the GH. I'm hoping Santa kept the receipt because this isn't going to work for my needs.

OK.....................time to get to work!!!!

Having to view the outside from the inside today. It's raining cold and miserable outside.
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

Jean, I think you're in the wrong state for this time of year . . . cold and wet just doesn't cut it for me. Come to Florida, it's gorgeous here today!

It is gorgeous but I'm very concerned b/c this is NOT typical winter weather & that scares me about what summer is going to be like. Blinking

Elaine's right...if your in Arkansas your in the wrong state ! I'm perfectly happy with this weather. I can leave the greenhouse doors open, no running heat in either the GH or people house !

Don't worry, Ann. I'm feeling that we're going to see some more cold weather before it really warms up in earnest.

I hope so Elaine. All the plants are being fooled by this weather & when the cold comes it's going to freeze new growth & buds.

@dzzypxxy I have some dental work to be done and DH has his annual physical to be completed before we head for DeLand. This year has been topsy turvy, and we were down there in October, November and left the first week in December.

@mjsponies No, that's not our hous e. It would be nice if it was! It's the Visitor Center at the Bok Tower.

I have to get out in the yard and do some serious weeding. Since we got here we have been getting back up to speed with things inside the house but now it's time to get the outside spruced up. Company coming next week.
