I agree Sorry for your pain.

Just picked up my box today, haven't been to mb for several days due to back problems, so I do sympathize with Mark
When stuff hits you just have to slow down.

I can hardly wait to tear into the box and see what treasures I will find.
I will still have to wait a bit to plant outdoors but will try to get them started inside or do you think it would be OK
to wait a couple of weeks?

Thanks Thanks Thanks Thank You! Thank You!

wow thanks everyone, no, thank you, i dont need any more plants, i need to build more beds first, but thanks alot. @cdssister i let them sit in cool dry for up to one month, a few weeks aught not matter. it will give them a chance to root, you know i just throw handfulls at the ground and walk away these thing are hardy!

btw the infection is going down so the antibiotics are working, Hurts worse every day though Thumbs down

When you say cool dry do you mean cool dry on soil medium or just cool dry place in the shipping box?
Still new to sedum transfers.....

dont leave in box empty onto outside table spread out give a day then plant out
i just looked up greenwood village 10 day weather, it does not look like you will be getting below 30 many more times this year, i would just lay them on top of the soil and top with sand or gravel to keep them in place. they dont mind cold example being

Sedum (Petrosedum rupestre subsp. rupestre 'Angelina')

i sent you 2 types of this plant, i think, and they are hardy down to - 40 f ...
The coldest temperature ever recorded in Denver is -29 degrees ( according to internet Rolling my eyes. ) so you should be fine right now
hope that helps, good luck

I was working in a 100 year old basement in pioneer square, fun fact before the regrade the basements were the first floor, they have bricked up doors and windows and in some cases connect to underground seattle but i digress, i steaped on a nail down there, my foot was fine... but 2 days later i have this soar on my hip, dr said it could have spread through my blood, i never cut my hip weird hunh
and dont worry about the cuttings, i have been more or less bed ridden for a week, i still have a wound but it is not infected and i need to move!!
so being outside will be good

where you can see a gap, under the dirt is tiled floor, i think it used to be a hall connecting to part of the underground mall that seattle used to have. before they shut it down alot of these basement were " businesses " of some sort

bootlegging? shanghai-ing of people?
Glad to hear you are better, Mark. Consider getting tetanus shot before next time you are wandering around unknown places?

Glad you are doing better Mark! Those are some crazy underground pictures.

I have also been meaning to ask- in your most recent picture of cuttings above, do you know the name of the plant that is one to the left of the sempervivum in the bottom right hand corner? (It almost resembles a jade, but isn't).
Of the cuttings I got from you, this is one I don't know the name of.
Thanks for any help!

Mark just read this thread, sorry you were in a mess man!! Glad you're mended!! Love the photos of the underground!
It is a cool bit of Seattle history!
Love sedum confusum too! I've seen 2 different colors of this plant, but don't see any 'cultivars' when I google it, kind of interesting!
Be well! I tip my hat to you.

Mark,
Are you perhaps a electrician? I see a lot of wiring and conduit being worked on. What a exciting event you must have had. Too bad for the infection.
I have heard that silver is a cure for some of these infections. Could be had in Silverdene (spelling off) ointment. It is used for burns. If possible try to get some and try it. Using old silver ware is also good. We need so very little for good health. No one has silver ware anymore.
Also was that my address you needed?
