I just wanted to report that I took the good advice several of you gave me about keeping those weeding muscles active instead of putting off the chore until spring. We've had a mild winter here, so I've been weeding almost every day. I haven't suffered even the slightest twinge of back pain, no matter how long I spend crouching, kneeling, reaching, and bending.

Thumbs up Glad you found the right combo!
I tend to overdo it since I only have so many days off so I often come in with my back is a spasm. But I am almost done with the weeding and today I got a conifer, 3 roses, 3 shrubs, a daylily and an iris planted in addition to filling 2 green cans.

I will never be done with the weeding. I can't use mulch or a pre-emergent because they'll keep the wildflowers from coming up, and I bought a million packages of various wildflower seeds. Now each time I pull up a large section of grassy weeds, I throw seeds around in that section. I'm hoping for a very romantic look this year.

This is wonderful news Zuzu! Yay for you! I love the fact that you are doing the wildflower thing too. It's going to look marvelous.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown
