Latest images of my fascinated daylily, I discovered the other day I now have another one, looks like the same variety (waiting to find out what that is), but only three scapes fused together.
This thing is growing very tall.

Kabby elbowing her way to the front. Y'all make room. Whaddaya mean no cutting in line? Very well I may just make my way south to Enterprise providing the storm tonight doesn't blow us off the map. Seed you know to protect the scape with your body if it starts to hail right? Rolling my eyes.

Kabby, I have noticed a considerable thinning out of the crowd since the latest weather report. So nice of you to volunteer to come on down and keep watch over the next couple of days as I will be very busy conducting research on daylilies (in my basement) ! Oh, I have to ask, I read one of your posts about the forest ranger inspecting SEAwall permits...???
In Lowndesboro...?
I might should take some action to protect the plant, maybe a piece of plywood over the top of the cage in case of hail. Oh, if you do make the trip down, make sure to bring your rubber boots, that area is boggy now, and we are under flash flood watches for the next two days. I may have to start a ferry service back and forth for all the tourists.

Oops just heard the first rumble of thunder. We are actually 18 miles from Lowndesboro, we live on the Alabama River. We're about 5 miles upriver of the Robert F Henry dam. The Army Corps of Engineers issues the permits. We may get a wee bit boggy here too.
Keep safe in your, ahh research area. Smiling
Lightening. Off the computer, stay safe!
