What a beautiful iris Mary Ann. And, every time you look at it you will remember the day you spent with your sister.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

Took a long time to recover but it looks like it was worth the wait! Thumbs up

I have a list of reds in my wish list here on ATP, you just made it bigger! Love that Rio Rojas and Red Skies and Society Lady are gorgeous, I think it's that extra plum in the coloring that I like so much!
Oh to have that much room to actually have an Iris Lane!

Some very nice pictures Mary Ann, You are lucky to have your Japanese Maple, Many of them died up here this winter. They aren't really heardy for our area, but people plant them anyway cause they are so pretty. The seedling is doing well for you. I love Jukebox Hero. I think it was an iris before it's time. Quite ruffled and big. It's also a consistant bloomer, and very good grower. I look forward to seeing it each spring.

Me too Tom -- I love that Iris. And it looks like a *lavender* Iris -- but it's more than that, and I can't capture it in a photograph. It's electric. Or neon. Or something -- it really glows. Lovey dubby

I agree with you that I'm lucky to have my Jap. Red Maple. It's a really old tree now -- and every spring it has a long, slow start -- and I hold my breath, hoping it'll give me another year. So far, so good -- but I have a lot of split bark on it, so I don't know how much longer it'll go on.

Sue -- glad to contribute to your wish-list!! I'm not as good an enabler as Tom and Paul and Arlyn -- but I do try.................. Green Grin!

Vi -- I love Moonlit Water too. First year blooming for me!! Lovey dubby

Forgot a couple of pictures in my group from yesterday:

How about this Peony? Only one blossom on the whole plant -- but what a blossom!!! Hilarious!

My old friend, my NOID Royal Purple. I love the color of this Iris -- it enhances any Iris that I plant it next to:
