Congratulations, @Jon !!

But to tell you the truth, if it hadn't been for the Kentucky Derby I would have given you a run for your acorns those last few minutes! Smiling
So glad those plants are going to a good home. I know you'll enjoy them.

Anne, thanks so much for such a great acorn idea. I do hope you will do it again sometime.

I didn't have a clue that the Kentucky Derby was yesterday ... if I had known I would have made the deadline on a different day or later! Sorry!

You did just fine, Anne. The KY Derby is mostly important only to horse people and old Kentuckians who like tradition and mint juleps. Your offer was fun and very generous.

Same here. I watched the KY Derby and missed the auction ... but know Jon will give them a good home. I'm not sure my 'Coffee Cups' is coming back this year. The mowers keep whacking it with the edger. Thumbs down

DIdn't go to the actual Derby, Greene, but we gather here for the watching and the julep. Big Grin I have a huge black crochet straw hat, wide brimmed and a little floppy, and every year I just change the flowers to match my clothes . . . yesterday it was pink roses, silk of course, since my roses aren't blooming yet.

Song, I thought of you and wondered if you watched, especially since the winning horse was from California!

Sorry about the OT, Anne - - but the Derby and your acorn auction kind of got all jumbled together, two important events on the same day! Both exciting.

I received the plant yesterday, and I planted them last night. I am very happy with all of them. They were all very healthy with lots of roots. I got a total of 16 plants including 3 elephant ears, one of which was a very nice variegated elephants ear. In all I was very happy with what I got, and it was well worth the acorns that I spent.

Double Tuberose 'The Pearl' - Polianthes tuberosa

Pitcher's Leather Flower - Clematis pitcheri

Goldfish Plant 'Black Gold' - Nematanthus

Red Leaf Hibiscus - 'Haight Ashbury' - Hibiscus acetosella

Patchouli - Pogostemon cablin

Turk's Turban - Clerodendrum indicum

EE Coffee Cups - Colocasia

EE Mojito - Colocasia esculenta

EE Illustris - Colocasia esculenta

Voodoo Lily - Amorphophallus konjac

I can vouch for this. The box couldn't have fit another plant. They were all perfectly packaged and each had a metal plant tag with the plant's name! Very healthy plants that they are already putting out new growth. Jon is as pleased as punch with all of them.
