I saw these blooms when I moved them around last Monday after the deluge.

Many of the Stapeliads are happy bloomers starting late August into Fall around here.

Thanks to both! TS Lee hasn't done much for Central Texas for moisture (in fact, removing the little bit of humidity we've had) but we're soooo looking forward to the cold front. Low 90s sounds so ideal any more!

I can't wait to actually spend time outdoors again!

Ha ha. Hilarious! Low 90s sounds too hot to me. It's all what you're used to. In the fall, when the temps go into the 30s here, I think it's soooo cold. But in Feb., the 30s is balmy and you don't zip up your coats!!

In anticipation of cooler temps coming soon, we picked up a couple of 40 gallon fish tanks today. There are hundreds !!! of Gouramies in the pond.... in addition we will have to bring a lot to the aquarium store.

Hoya cummingiana is blooming its heart out on the deck this Summer, I love the scent. Grape scented pledge anyone?

Thanks!
Right now it is pouring buckets again and everything is out in the open.....

Now if I could just trap that silly Squirrel which had taken a shine to that stuff on the deck. I noticed the handiwork of a Squirrel on Sunday, immediately set up a trap. Monday morning I had a real mess on my hands, several pots dumped over, several succulent dishes scattered. I was not happy, the bait was eaten, but the trap hadn't sprung. Glare Sooner or later there will be a Squirrel playing Golf....

Cool!
We're getting a taste of East coast troubles today. San Diego electric went down today, and they can't figure out what's wrong. Just heard on the news that it's a problem with the transmission lines from Az.. to Ca.. Sooo with triple digit temps, everything south of me , including Az. and Baja Mexico is without power. You wouldn't believe the traffic mess! We're sooo spoiled! The heat is supposed to be going down, at least.
