Honestly, I think that is a very minor plant Glare

It is a lovely shade of red, and the shape of the leaves is one of my favorites. Even if that is an ephemeral state, it is a lovely one. I don't think a plant needs to be huge and flashy to be special.

Yes, but you don't have botanical species and it's a pity !
If I send a simple letter with one rosette by species, Do you think it's possible ?

I don't have many cultivars but I have +/- 350 botanical species/clones

I agree -- It would be wonderful to have a collection of species as a sort of "control" on where all the hybridizing is going. I'm just getting started with all of this and learning as I go along... The vast differences between some of my first seedlings sent me exploring (how I found ATP...) and it would be good to have an article just about species, with (of course) illustrating photos. The collection of online articles I've found lists the species, but I haven't found one with good photos with each one. Perhaps you could do that here? I'm all ears! I tip my hat to you.

Of course I'd love to have a collection of species myself, but one thing at a time here...

Another 2" of snow this morning that hasn't melted yet (37 degrees up from 24 last night...) Thumbs down

I've been to Fernwood; I'll go check them out again. I don't remember a nice, continuously running article on species. But then I've been known to be a bit forgetful. Concentrating on deskwork is not going to happen today anyway... Whistling

Greg, I just went back there and that's exactly it: Lots of information; no photographs. You can find the photographs, but you have to go all around the internet searching each species... MR

I hadn't realized before that there were so many "natural" species out there before all the cultivation and then hybridizing began. Semps must have known they were special -- getting themselves in shape to be discovered, as it were...
