Ha, nothing to be sorry for Lynn, it is frustrating to everyone, I know. Now I have another "backyard" semp.

I did get word on the semp I bought last yr. as Jubilee...the co. only markets about 6 semps, all sold at Garlands last year. The only one remotely like the semp I got is Mars. I'll follow it thru the year but I'm 99% sure it's what I have. Yay!

Patty, can you give me a link to where we discussed Jubilee, so I can see your photo?

Lynn, it was just a letter from Chris letting me know the photo had been removed as it wasn't Jubilee. I bought the plant at Garlands, and it came from Blooming Advantage. The only semps they carry besides Jubilee are: Arach Buttons, El Toro, Icicle, Jungle Shadows, Lavender and Old Lace, Mars, Pekinese, Rita Jane, and Rojin. Here are my pics from March 9 and April 22. What do you think??

It could also be El Toro. Let's keep an eye on it and see where the color goes through this summer. That should separate them out. Thumbs up

Patty - thought I'd share how I deal with this issue - If I lose a label or have a situation like yours where the plant is mislabeled, and I decide its what I "think" it is and I give it a label - I always add a ? after the name on my label so I know that there was some confusion. I think for people who are trying to keep their plants correctly ID'd it keeps surprises to a minimum!! Just my 2 cents! I tip my hat to you. I have a plant "Georgette?" which I'm 99.9% sure is Georgette but the label was lost and I received some NOIDs around the same time, so it is possible that its a NOID that looks like the real 'Georgette' I will always explain that to anyone I give chicks to so it doesn't fully get labeled as Georgette...maybe I'm overly cautious, but I feel that with the efforts people are making to get plants correct, its the least that I can do! Thumbs up

Yep, I do the same thing. Remember when Koko scratched up 6 semps and tags over a year ago? I'm still watching them!

I'm not sure what dug up an entire bed of mine, there were only a few that I could positively identify. The others are sitting out there with no name tags.

That was a year ago. It was filled with new semps from SMG. Gingerbread Boy and New Rhumba were two that were identified immediate after sifting through the entire 4 x 8 foot bed. Some of the tags were never found.

I think I am still recovering. Crying

That is terrible!!! Whenever I go to my troughs (my semps planted at friends) there is at least one that a bird (probably) uprooted and has thrown into the middle or over the side...and sometimes the labels are messed with, but so far, they've always been obvious!! Thumbs up

Oh Lynn that is horrible. Do you think a animal pulled up your name tags? I swear by the plastic with paint pen buried. You can always put a name tag that is visible but if you lose the visible you always have a backup label buried. Since the robbery I am now going to print off my list just in case something happens to my computer again.

Cinta printing off a list is a great idea!! I keep forgetting that I want to update my list - with location info! Maybe I'll do that using the ATP list "comments" like Springcolor does! Smiling Thumbs up I tip my hat to you.

Cinta, I did have the plastic tags with the names. But the entire bed was dug up, from top to bottom and all around. It looked like some one was doing a deep turning of the soil in preparation for planting. The same thing happened to Kevin this spring. Hard to say if it is a skunk, possum, or what ever?

Lynn something did that to my sedum lamp post garden this week. I did see a possum the other night I wonder if it was him. He only took Sedum Cherry tart. I wonder what they are digging for.

Maybe possums eat grubs or something and they are digging for food. They sure are not eating the plants just digging.

You right Cinta, they are looking for food. Kevin said they go after the lizards and grub. What a bummer about your lamp post garden.
